Project description:

The project was implemented with the aim of developing market activities in the field of ecotourism based on the efficient use of the development resources available in the region (human, social, cultural and natural capital).

New ecotourism marketing activities have been developed through new programme content and the provision of quality tourism services.

Results achieved:

• A 6-month training programme on the preservation of traditional crafts and traditions and the basics of ecotourism and traditional cuisine is developed.
• 14 participants from vulnerable target groups were included in the training programme, of whom 8 were employed after the training.
• A study to develop the marketing of ecotourism.
• 4 workshop programmes developed for different target groups of participants.
• Equipment for the mini-shop, info centre and multimedia presentations is purchased and installed.
• 30 presentation events held and 2 video presentations made.

The project ran from August 2012 to August 2015.
