Project description:

The project was implemented with the aim of achieving a better visibility of the European quality labels associated with the quality schemes and increasing consumer awareness of the benefits of agricultural products covered by quality schemes, which contributed to an increase in the share of sales of certified producers' protected products and, consequently, to the growth of competitiveness and added value in agriculture and the agri-food sector as a whole.

We organised events, presented ourselves at trade fairs, made promotional presentations at other events, in shopping centres and the catering industry, and ran a social media campaign (Facebook). We supported our activities with advertising.

Results achieved:

10,616 consumers recognise the European labels "Traditional Speciality Guaranteed" and "Protected Geographical Indication" and the benefits of Prekmurska gibanica and Prekmurska šunka as carriers of quality schemes. These are consumers who did not know this before and have acquired new knowledge through the project activities.

Increased visibility of the European trademarks and the benefits of the protected products among around 87,000 people.

The Prekmurska gibanica producer group's revenue increased by just over EUR 187 000 and the target was exceeded by EUR 12 000.

The Prekmurska šunka producers' group's income increased by EUR 65 120 and the target was significantly exceeded by EUR 40 120.

The project ran from 1.3.2017 to 29.2.2020.
